Karelia à la carte Company of the Year 2020

Parppeinpirtti Restaurant was selected as the Karelia à la carte Company of the Year 2020.

Today we received a great recognition for our work when we were awarded as the Karelia à la carte Company of the Year.

We are grateful for the honor our company has received. It indicates that we have taken steps in the right direction in our company's development activities. We could not have achieved this alone; the support of customers, networks, and regional operators has been invaluable. Close cooperation has enabled the extensive sourcing of raw materials used in food preparation from the local area as well.

Although I feel I might still be a junior in the food tourism field, I hope I can lead the way with my example for new operators aspiring to the industry. The value system of the Karelia à la carte network has provided good guidance at the beginning of our own company's journey. I hope that locality, Karelianism, uniqueness, hospitality, and nature are visible and conveyed to others in our daily operations.

The Karelia à la carte Company of the Year is chosen annually from among the companies in the Karelia à la carte network. The 29-year-old Karelia à la carte food tourism network includes 57 North Karelian companies. Restaurants, tourism, and food industry companies cooperate and implement the following values in their operations: Locality, Karelianism, Uniqueness, Hospitality, Nature.

The Company of the Year is selected by the Karelia à la carte network committee, which has 14 members from the network's companies. The Karelia à la carte network is coordinated by: Eastern Finland Rural Women's Advisory Organization / ProAgria Eastern Finland.

The young entrepreneur's fearless and customer-oriented attitude has elevated Parppeinpirtti into a true lunch and celebration venue for everyone, as also indicated by Parppeinpirtti Restaurant's seventh-place finish in the "Finland's Best Lunch" competition held in 2020.
