Tiina Pasanen is a content producer and writer from Joensuu, whose texts emphasize love for her home region and longing for nostalgia. Her debut novel You Must Go (Kirjokansi 2025) started the Soundtrack series, set in Pohjois-Karjala, which tells about Minna, who returned to Joensuu. I Follow You (Lind & Co 2026) is an independent sequel to the Soundtrack series. It is a light and vibrant novel about love, friendship, (underdeveloped) middle age, and the life-driving power of music. The story of the novel I Follow You also takes its readers to Ilomantsin Parppeinvaara... and a sequel in Ilomantsi is also in store.

Miila Pitkäranta is a history, social studies, psychology, and philosophy teacher from Joensuu. Across Generations (Kirjokansi 2025) is her touching historical debut novel about family secrets and love that transcends boundaries. Her new release Forbidden Land (Lind & Co 2026) is a contemporary social novel spanning two timelines, depicting the coming of age of two young women. The events take place in the Greek archipelago. The central themes of the work are human rights and equality. Miila's father's family is from Ilomantsi, as is the second main character of her new book.

Niina Holopainen is a writer from Joensuu who enjoys slow mornings and challenging herself with new literary projects. She has published two novels to date, About You (Kirjokansi 2023) and Anita (Reuna 2024), as well as a collection of love poems The River Flows Against Its Current (Reuna 2025). Her next book Granite Foot will be released in July 2026 (Reuna Publishing House). It is a powerful and thrilling family saga, in which a log house owned by the family acts as one of the narrators. Granite Foot is a captivating description of unprocessed traumas and shame being passed down from one generation to the next. It begins in the aftermath of the Finnish Civil War.
